Entry & visa — verify before booking
Tourist entry
Visa-free for short stays — up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Cyprus counts its 90/180 separately from the Schengen area. Passport must be valid for the whole stay.
Watch: the EU’s ETIAS travel authorisation (a ~€7 online pre-registration) is expected to go live in late 2026 with a transition/grace period. It may not yet be mandatory for August 2026 — re-check nearer the time.
Visa required — action needed
Zimbabwe nationals need a visa to enter Cyprus. A UAE residence permit does not exempt you — entry rules follow passport nationality.
One shortcut: holders of a valid multiple-entry Schengen visa or a Schengen-country residence permit may enter Cyprus for up to 90 days without a separate Cyprus visa. If Liz holds one, bring it. Otherwise, apply for a Cyprus visa from the UAE (Cyprus consulate / VFS) well ahead — August is peak and appointments fill up.
Passport valid 6+ months beyond the stay; carry proof of onward travel (the 22 Aug return flight).
Confirm Liz’s route — existing Schengen multi-entry visa vs. a fresh Cyprus visa application — as a priority; the flights are already booked for 1–22 Aug. Enter and exit via Larnaca (Republic of Cyprus); avoid first-entry through the north.
